David and Lori Soehnlen
Dave and his 3 older brothers were raised on the farm where Soehnlen Veterinary Clinic now stands. His family raised cattle, horses, sheep, hogs and all types of poultry. Upon graduation from Walsh College, Dave spent two years in the U.S. Army serving as a veterinary technician in Vietnam taking care of sentry and scout dogs. Dave returned in the summer of 1970 and enrolled in Veterinary School at The Ohio State University. After graduation he started a mixed animal practice on the family farm with a primary emphasis on equine care. That practice has evolved into the diversified animal practice that Dave and Lori lead today.Lori was raised on a beef and grain farm where her family raised cattle, hogs and goats. She graduated from St. Petersburg College in Florida with a veterinary technician’s certificate and is currently working on a B.A.S. degree. With 30 years experience at Soehnlen Veterinary Clinic. Lori enjoys working in surgery and anesthesia. Together, Dave and Lori enjoy spending time with their 11 children while raising animals on the farm, planting trees, and traveling.
Dr. James Dittoe, DVM
James is a Buckeye, through and through. He attended both undergraduate and veterinary school at The Ohio State University and graduated in 1980. Jim then practiced in a mixed animal practice in New Jersey for two years, before returning to Ohio to start his own practice in Wooster. He especially enjoys his current position as a contracting veterinarian with the Soehnlen Veterinary Clinic. Throughout his career, Jim has treated exotics and farm animals, as well as all types of companion animals and pets. He lives in Wooster with his wife and has three grown children and 3 grandchildren with another on the way! In addition to being an avid Buckeye fan, Jim loves boating, waterskiing, golf, church activities and family time.
Dana is a veterinary student at Lincoln Memorial University CVM in Tennessee. She has worked at Soehnlen Vet Clinic since December 2012. She enjoys working with cattle and spending time hiking with family and friends.
Randy has an associate degree in Beef and Sheep Production from OSU/ATI. He enjoys spending time with his family on their farm in Brewster. He plans to continue his education into the veterinary technician program.
Amy has been working at Soehnlen Vet Clinic since October 2013, where she has been a receptionist. She enjoys interacting with the clients and their pets on a daily basis, as well as her Soehnlen family co-workers. Outside of work Amy loves spending time with her family, friends, and her four dogs.
Connie is a registered veterinarian technician and has been employed with Soehnlen Clinic since 2013. She very much likes working and playing with all animals. When she is not at work she spends much of her time with her own 11 dogs and family.
Jenn has been a veterinary assistant at Soehnlen’s since January 2016. She partcipated in the Veterinary Technology program at Kent State and has been working with animals ever since. She and her husband have three dogs of their own as well as breeding Newfoundlands.
Mackenzie began working for the Soehnlen Veterinary Clinic in August of 2016. She is a marketing major at Kent State and a certified personal trainer. She’s an avid lover of dogs and outdoor activities. She also has a goal to travel to all 58 National Parks.
Sheri started working at Soehnlen Veterinary Clinic in January of 2012. She is their bookkeeper and receptionist. She and her husband have three daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family, working in her flower gardens and shopping at Marshalls.
Maria has been working at Soehnlen Veterinary Clinic since January of 2016. Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her family, babysitting her nieces and nephews, fishing, and square dancing. This fall she is excited to be starting her first semester of college.
